PPGI Window Frames: Sizes, Prices & Buying Guide

πŸ“… 13 June 2026✍ Shyam Steel Industries⏱ 7 min read

PPGI window frames are one of the most popular choices for modern Indian homes β€” affordable, rust-resistant and available in every size. This guide covers what PPGI is, the sizes we make, indicative prices and how to choose.

What Is PPGI?

PPGI = Pre-Painted Galvanized Iron. It is galvanized steel with a baked-on colour coating applied at the factory. The zinc layer fights rust; the paint adds weatherproofing and colour. PPGI frames stay smooth and clean for years with almost no maintenance.

Available Sizes & Indicative Prices

At Shyam Steel Industries we manufacture PPGI window frames in a full range of heights. Indicative prices (per foot, subject to size, gauge and finish):

Minimum order quantity is typically 100 feet. See the live list on our products page.

Colours & Finish

White is the most common, but brown, grey and custom shades are available. The pre-painted finish resists fading and is easy to wipe clean.

How to Choose the Right Frame

  1. Measure the opening accurately (height Γ— width).
  2. Pick the gauge β€” heavier gauge for larger windows and security.
  3. Choose a colour to match your walls and grills.
  4. Decide on glazing β€” single or double glass provision.
  5. Confirm quantity to get the best per-foot rate.
For larger openings, a slightly heavier gauge pays off in rigidity and a premium feel.

PPGI vs Aluminium vs Wood Windows

PPGI is stronger than aluminium for the price, and unlike wood it never rots or attracts termites. It’s the value sweet spot for most homes.
